The basics
A mini game in which you can gain Amity
In order to improve relationships with other NPCs, you can engage in a conversation with them (if one is available). The only requirement to do so, is to gain appropriate knowledge. Knowledge has been divided into several categories (merchants, artefacts etc.), and each NPC has been assigned to one specific category, which is visible in the left part of the screen. The list represents all NPC assigned to a given category, and included both NPC that you met and those that need to be found. Searching for characters who possess knowledge is easy; all you have to do is you're your world map and head to a location where a grey question mark is visible.
When you gain enough knowledge, you can go to a selected NPC Starting the conversation will consume few energy points. The conversation is a mini game in which a constellation of a given NPC is presented. If the constellation resembles your own, you will gain more Amity. The mini game is about choosing NPCs that you unlocked before and placing them in the correct places in his/her constellation. Elements that are taken into consideration are interest level and sparkling interest %. To increase your chance of success, choose characters with the highest interest level and sparkling interest %, and put them in the correct order (from the one with the lowest states to the one with the highest). If you succeed (represented by smiling faces), you will get the highest value of Amity. You can choose whether or not you want to accept the points or continue your conversation, and thus have a chance to gain ever more Amity. There are three such opportunities during a single conversation. However, each time you will be asked to complete a task that is visible on the constellation. The picture represents an example of a task. In this specific case you have to gain 55 points of Amity to receive a chance for another conversation. Once you take part in three conversations (and succeed), you will get the total amount of points from all the conversations. However, if you fail the task, you won't get any points. The following list includes all the possible "tasks":
- Free Talk with... - Just talk. In fact, it's not really a task as you need to talk with the NPC anyway.
- Fail spark interest with... - The task focuses on playing enough characters NOT to achieve the required sparkling interest. For instance, if you are asked to fail spark interest 3 times, you should place the characters (use those with the lowest %) in a way that will let you fail the task 3 times.
- Success spark interest with... - This time you have to play the characters in a way that will allow you to reach the desired spark interest. For example, if the task is success spark interest 3 times, play the characters in the correct order (from the highest to the lowest rate) and win 3 times.
- Accumulated/Maximum Favor Level - Put the characters in the correct order and reach the exact Favor. It's best to put characters with the Favor first.
Amity rewards
Amity rewards
The game world is full of NPCs that will reward you for improving your relationships. A groom, for example, will reward you with additional mount accessories. Some NPCs not only have items, but they also have quests that you can complete and receive stones that can upgrade your gear. You can check available Amity rewards during your conversations or by looking through entries concerning knowledge and interests in your journal.
Important information concerning Amity:
- Find all the NPCs that belong to a single category (grey question mark on the world map).
- During mini games, put the characters according to their interest level (from the lowest to the highest one).
- Try to complete quests to increase the amount of received Amity points.
